How it works
- Remote: from home, using your own laptop. Our technician connects remotely and carries out the region change (10–20 minutes).
- At our place: at a pre-arranged time – you don't need any equipment of your own.
- Call-out in Pest County: we come to you anywhere in Pest County and bring all the equipment.
After your purchase, we will email you a link to book an appointment.

When do I need a region change?
Mainly on imported cars, for example from the US, whose navigation is set to the wrong region.
Which iDrive does it work on?
iDrive 7 and iDrive 8 (MGU18 / MGU21). For iDrive 8.5 and 9, choose the MGU JOY region change.
What else changes with the region?
Besides navigation, the language, radio bands, units and side marker settings switch to the new region too.
Do I get new maps, and can they be updated later?
Yes, we install the latest available maps, and they can be updated later.
What do I need to do it from home?
An ENET cable, a USB flash drive and a Windows PC; it can't be done with a Mac. 10–20 minutes remotely.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
No. The region change is permanently tied to your car's VIN, so the fee is non-refundable.
