What does PRE-LCI/LCI mean?

The pre-LCI term is primarily used by BMW and is an abbreviation for "pre-Life Cycle Impulse". In English, this means: before facelift within a generation.

What is the difference between types with and without heatsinks?

Units that are already pre-installed with heatsinks are easier to install (approx. 10 minutes less work per module).

ATTENTION!

For correct installation of LCI G80/G81/G82/G83/G22/G23/G26 M3/M4/4er/i4 and LCI F90/G30/G31 M5/5er types, the headlight must be opened. Without opening, only the outer edges of both headlights can illuminate yellow.

Note: This is not an original BMW part, but a high-quality aftermarket product that mimics the OEM character. The modules do not replace the entire headlight, but exclusively the original daytime running light (DRL) modules.

User guide

Turn off the low beam headlights and set the headlight mode to DRL.
Pull the headlight lever briefly:
3x - Yellow DRL, again 3x White DRL
5x - White DRL (low beam off), Yellow DRL (low beam on), again 5x Yellow DRL(low beam off), White DRL (low beam on)
7x - Flashing, again 7x flashing with color change
9x - Reset
11x (G80/G81/G82/G83) - Turn on LCI style opening animation, again 11x, turn off animation
