Front Lips Carbon Fiber Audi R8 Type 42 | 4S

Carbon fiber front lips (lip, splitter) for the Audi R8 Type 42 (1st generation) and the Audi R8 4S (2nd generation, pre-facelift and Facelift). They mount on the lower edge of the front bumper and give the R8's nose a lower, race-car look.

Pre-order: the following versions are made to order, with an expected delivery time of more than 30 days: 2nd generation (4S, 2015–2018) – VRS Style (forged carbon) and 2nd generation Facelift (4S, 2019–2024) – OEM Style (3-piece).

Available styles

1st generation (Type 42, 2007–2015)

• Split Style (3-piece) – three-piece lip with a center section and two side pieces, without fins at the ends.
• Wrap Style – one-piece lip that wraps around the lower curve of the bumper, with a center opening and a motorsport-inspired OEM+ look.

2nd generation, pre-facelift (4S, 2015–2018)

• VRS Style and VRS Style (forged carbon) – one-piece lip with a deep center section, a dark slot at the front, recessed pockets at the ends and upward-curving, rounded corners.
• Euro V1 Style (3-piece) – straight center section and two curved side pieces that kick upward below the side intakes.
• Competition Style – thin, one-piece lip with raised, upward-running deflectors on both sides.
• Sport Style – slim, one-piece splitter with a dark center channel and angular, upturned ends.
• LMS GT4 Style – splitter in the style of the Audi R8 LMS GT4 race car.
• Performance Style – one-piece splitter with tall, upward-curving end plates; mounts to the factory mounting points without modification.

Audi R8 4S Facelift (2019–2024)

• OEM Style (3-piece) – three-piece part following the shape of the factory facelift splitter: a wide, flat center section and two side pieces that rise high at the outer edge of the intakes; fits without modification.
• GT Style – R8 GT-inspired slim, one-piece lip with a raised center mounting plate and short, angled upturned edges at the ends, without fins.
• Capristo Style – center section with a separate “floating” lower blade beneath it, and two vertical fins on each corner piece that reach into the side intakes.
• MT Style – splitter with a separately removable, replaceable center section; mounts to the factory mounting points without modification.

Material and finish

The Sport, LMS GT4, Performance, OEM and MT Style are made from prepreg dry carbon (autoclave-cured) with a weave pattern matching the factory parts; these are available in matte or gloss finish – please specify in the order notes. For the Sport, LMS GT4 and MT Style, a forged carbon version is available at extra cost – please check with us.

Compatibility

In the Model option, choose the version that matches your car's generation: the front bumpers of the Type 42, the pre-facelift 4S (2015–2018) and the Audi R8 4S Facelift (2019–2024) differ, and the lips are not interchangeable. The Split Style is also made for the V8 and V10 Type 42 Coupe and Spyder. Within the Type 42, the bumper may differ before and after the 2013 update, so please confirm the fit with us before ordering.

Installation

The lips mount to the factory mounting points and, depending on the style, are secured with screws and/or adhesive tape. Professional installation is recommended. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
